EuroKUP/e-LICO collaboration revolves around two major activities:
- the construction of a specialized Kidney and Urinary Pathways Ontology (KUPO) and Knowledge Base, led by kidney specialists from INSERM and ontology engineers from Manchester.
- the use of the e-LICO data mining lab to solve application tasks for which domain specialists require data analytical expertise. EuroKUP users who wish to avail of this service should submit a detailed specification of their application problem and a description of the experimental data to be analysed.
INSERM has specified two use cases for which data mining experiments will be designed once data collection is completed:
- iPHONE use-case: Identification of pathoPHysiological markers of Obstructive Nephropathy with multilEvel analysis
- STAMP use-case: STAndard urinary Male and female Proteome
